NO WINNING PROJECT UNTIL NEW SPONSOR IS NAMED

The Santiago Bernabéu's refurbishment starts with its new name

The project for the reform of the Santiago Bernabéu's reform is still at the drawing board stage. As MARCA revealed, Real Madrid contracted the services of North American firm Bovis consulting to carry out an in-depth study of the four reconstruction projects that were presented in the original tender.
The cost of each project ranges from €250 million to €300 million
The cost of each project ranges from €250 million to €300 million, and the architects' fees from between 7% to 10% of said costs. Bovis will decide which is best for the club. Each company's tender has been adjusted to the absolute maximum, both in terms of aesthetics as well as the ability to take advantage of the stadium's resources as much as humanly possible.
While waiting for the North American company to give its final verdict on the winning proposal, club president Florentino Pérez is still negotiating the final name of the stadium. Microsoft, Audi and Fly Emirates are all vying to have their name up on the stadium's façade. Once the sponsor is decided upon, the club will present the future Bernabéu to its fans.
