Another statistic demonstrating Real's defensive problems under Ancelotti is the penalties awarded against them. Just as 'Los Blancos' have upped the ante in attack during the last three games, their defensive problems have also increased.
Five penalties have been given against Madrid: two in the Sevilla game, another two in the Rayo match, plus Tuesday's against Juventus. Indeed, with the Turin penalty, 'Los Blancos' now hold the record for the greatest number of penalties against them (19) in the history of the Champions League.
