Carlo Ancelotti is mulling over giving Casemiro a run in the Real Madrid starting line-up to fill the shoes ofSami Khedira, although he is also not averse to the idea of altering his formation. Finally, the former Milan and PSG manager appealed to football's governing bodies to rethink the current fixture lists: "The issue with international football is difficult to fix because clubs and national teams have different demands. When I first started coaching, players didn't play as many matches and it was easier to plan a fitness programme. Now they have to play every three days and it's really tough. I think FIFA and UEFA could resolve that by amending the schedule".
